Halloween parties are great fun to throw. You can let your imagination run wild with decorations, food and entertainment.

Here are some ideas of things to do at your party.

Go Trick or Treating together
If you live in the country, go on a hayride
Get everyone to bring a long a carved pumpkin and give a prize for the best one. Then put them all out on the porch to entertain neighbours and passers by.
Have a cookie decorating contest
Tell stories in the dark holding a torch under the storytellers face.
Have a bonfire if local regulations allow it and the weather is good
Get a local fortune teller in to tell everyones fortunes
Have a Halloween Treasure Hunt with a ready prepared list of items for everyone to find, hidden around the house and or garden.
Rent a scary film and watch it in the dark
Bob for apples - have a bowl with green apples floating in it on the floor. Contestants have their hands tied behind their backs, kneel on the floor and get the apples out with their teeth. Have plenty of towels available.
Play Hallowwen charades using only scary book, film and TV show titles.
